Slight embarrassment...

So i'm naturally quite shy, can't smile properly and hate hearing my voice...which has always amused my dad who is obsessed with documenting every family holiday in vivid detail - which is lovely to watch back...ten years later when I (hopefully) look completely different, but not when it was shot 2 weeks ago and the painfully high-pitched voice coming out of my mouth is clearly how I sound (eek!)...but anyway, SIX MAGAZINE, a new publication dedicated to showing off the best fashion around at the moment - from an ethical stance (yay) ...so when they came to interview us at the graduate exhibition I couldn't really say no - and in my defence I thought they meant a still photograph (and they can work wonders with photoshop these days!)

But none the less it is a great video and highlights some vastly different approaches to ethical fashion and how different designers interpret and try to tackle sustainability in their own very individual way!

ABOUT ME

Zoe Grace Fletcher Currently undertaking a PhD at Manchester Metropolitan University within the MIRIAD post-graduate department, I am beginning a practice based academic journey into British wool fibres and new technologies within knitwear design. Graduating with Distinction from a Masters in Fashion and the Environment at London College of Fashion, specialising in hand-knitting and the British Wool Industry, I have worked on a number of knitwear collections (personal and external companies), whilst freelancing and researching for a number of exciting projects. My work revolves around the idea of sustainable fashion from a knitted perspective and the different ways to achieve this incorporating the ideas of slow fashion into mainstream society. I love knitting. And wool. And double sided sticky tape.
