Posted by Zoe Fletcher on Sunday, May 31, 2009,
The weather is so nice!!!! Its not fair...I have to keep pretending its raining outside and close my blinds to keep myself a little bit focussed on work... although I did find an excuse to go to the park... well everyone has to have lunch... and I did fold some of my business cards whilst sitting in the sun!! Only 5 days till deadline day.... and much work needs to be completed before then!! i've got lots of to do lists now for each aspect of my project which are being ticked off slowly but s...

The to do list has reached a new scale...

Posted by Zoe Fletcher on Friday, May 29, 2009,
The to do list has now reached epic proportions... it has now had to be transfered to an A3 piece of paper heehee!! Well today has been finishing bits of work off that I want to try out in my exhibition space on Monday or Tuesday... and finishing off all the MDRDM kits... they're taking much longer than I thought they would and are constantly being added to as I remember lots of things that would be useful to have in them!! I have also been focussing on Labelling my exhibition pieces and maki...

Busy Busy Busy...

Posted by Zoe Fletcher on Thursday, May 28, 2009,
Yesterday was really hectic... we held the TD4F bake sale to raise money for our exhibition catalogue in the students union and had so many cakes it was untrue, they wouldn't all fit on the table we were given, we also had a kind of jumble sale with loads of fabric remnants and old clothes which seemed really popular!!... we managed to sell all of the cakes and raised about £150 which is amazing!! I then headed back to Bolton and picked up two 32" tv's ready for my exhibition (who says wor...

Posted by Zoe Fletcher on Tuesday, May 26, 2009,
I managed to tick off quite a few boxes last night... but swapped the A1 taping together for finishing burning my DVD's...I managed one (after one taking an hour I was not in the mood for anymore heehee... so shall have to space them out for my own sanity!!), anyway today I had an early start in the Mac Suite (8.15am ...thats a new record for me!!) printing out some more photographs to finish off my plane photo shoot little collection, then I had a tutorial at 10 to discuss what exhibition sp...

To Do To Do To Do Lists...

Posted by Zoe Fletcher on Sunday, May 24, 2009,
Another day of working down my lists...I have been concentrating on trying to finish my Make Do ReDo Mend kits, and have just finished the postcard sized pattern sheets that are included in them. They are quite simple yet effective with all the information needed to create your very own knitted pieces. I have also had a huuuuge tidying session of my room and found more stuff that was supposed to be in my journal, but was in a mysterious pile in the corner of my bedroom - so that has all gone ...

Posted by Zoe Fletcher on Friday, May 22, 2009,
Well todays to do list has been getting longer and longer, with things taking much longer than I had intended. My Journal has overtaken other tasks today, with little bits taking more time than I initially thought, I think it's going to be a long night tonight!! Anyway I better be getting back to it so heres a few pictures of the front covers and how it will look eventually!!...

Talking of folding...

Posted by Zoe Fletcher on Friday, May 22, 2009,
A lot more folding of business cards for me on my breaks today I think!! I have also made an even bigger chooser to display my business cards in...its huuuuge and i'm quite happy in the way it has turned out...even after major problems figuring out where to stick the joins etc heehee!! It's still only just sinking in that times nearly up and have a really long to do list that keeps expanding not decreasing which is worrying heehee so i'm going to crack on with ticking off some boxes today!! Ooops... I've been so busy running around to tutorials, printing rooms, Mac Suites, major scissor sessions, journal catch up...I could go on that i haven't had a chance to post for a day or two!! Anyway, my tutorial with Annie went well on Monday and it was great to get feedback off Alan and Alex on Tuesday, I have a lot of work still to do before my deadlines but I have a bit more confidence in myself (and am training myself for not much sleep... but it will be worth it if I can pull it off!...

Binding it all up...

Posted by Zoe Fletcher on Monday, May 18, 2009,
There was another early start this morning... slightly delayed by the bus taking three times as long!! This morning I managed to bind all my books up (5 of them... all with hard back covers on them) so thats one job done. I then had a great tutorial with Annie, she had some great tips for my exhibition space and liked the simplicity of my videos so i'm really glad that went well. I am now working on my "kits" for the 'make your own' Make Do ReDo Mend section of my project, i'm having fun test...

Books Books Books...

Posted by Zoe Fletcher on Friday, May 15, 2009,
Another early start heehee (and I am not a good morning person) but i'm learning slowly... got into the Mac Suite at quarter to nine to print out my book covers whilst it was pretty quiet, and after a few false starts (I blame my lack of technical knowledge) managed to get the right size on the right paper from the right printer!! Managed to print off a HUGE chooser by sticking two A1 pages together on the tracing plotter and that looks pretty good (if i'm feeling adventurous I may try for an...

Today has been another long day... early start in the Mac suite (with lots of false starts and problems with final cut... which luckily I overcame!!), so now finally I have finished the three separate films (well on QuickTime anyway... transferring them with high enough quality onto DVD is my next challenge!!) and now i've just got to mix together the films for a digital portfolio and thats that section covered and I can start concentrating on tying up all my other bits of project... lots...

Too much time in the computer room...

Posted by Zoe Fletcher on Friday, May 8, 2009,
Heehee today and yesterday have consisted of me sat in front of a computer screen brushing up on my Final Cut skills (which are quite limited!!) and trying to figure out how to make it do what I want it to do!! Its going ok so far but think there may have to be another trip to the photography studio to get more head shots and test out different lighting...going to be a busy few weeks involving me and a lot of technology (which is not always the best combination!). Heres a few shots from the r...

Today...

Posted by Zoe Fletcher on Wednesday, May 6, 2009,
Today Emma and I booked the photography studio to progress with my transformation pictures of knitting, it got off to a bad start as nothing seemed to be going right for us but just as we were about to give up our luck changed and the camera was nice to us!! We got some great sets of photographs - we shot all the shirt top halves and the faces so now am left with the vest top, skirt and shorts to transform which I can hopefully continue shooting tomorrow!! Heres a few contacts from the shoot...

Posted by Zoe Fletcher on Saturday, May 2, 2009,
Last night I finally finished making a short video with all the stills I got from the transformation studio shots...I wanted a way to quickly display them and show the changing adjustable pieces...so thought this would be a good way (and set it to a little music!!). Full day of work today so this evening i'm going to catch up on my portfolio titles and get that up to date and also do some more samplings of business card ideas...I cant quite seem to find the right paper to print them on (big d...

Posted by Zoe Fletcher on Friday, May 1, 2009,
Today was a very early start with the photography studio booked for 9 (thats early for me heehee!!) but had a great time experimenting with stills on a plain white background- I've decided to try and develop my idea of a short flickering film showing lots of different positions you can wear the different knitted pieces...I'll put up the contact sheets soon so you can see the transitions but for now heres a couple of stills before i've edited them!!...
